OUR HISTORY

Connect Technologies, Inc. began business in 1991 in Nashville, "Music City USA", Tennessee where it is still located today.

We started business as a custom cable assembler with customers just in the Nashville area when serial, 10Base-2/RG58 coax and token ring cables were the best and fastest data systems to have. We only had two, six foot folding tables in a home garage back then. We made a "lot" of cables in that small garage!!

As time went on, Ethernet and fiber optic cables became the primary way to go with its faster speeds and its standardization of cable type. We became automated in our assembly of cables and moved into an actual warehouse with offices. The internet was just starting as the best place to purchase data and telecommunications products from, so we created a website in 1996 to help market and sell our data/telecom cables and related data conductivity parts, adapter and converters. Now, instead of having just customers in the Middle Tennessee area, we have customers in all 50 states, 24 countries and even in Antarctica. Our e-commerce website is www.connecttech.net.

During the years. our local customers (Tennessee), had requested us to do data cabling installation for them. At the time, we didn't have the personnel or equipment to do it properly. After much thought, we decided to create a cabling and related services division. We went out and hired the best data cabling people we could, purchased vans, trucks, the required equipment (tools, ladders, scissor lifts, etc.) and Fluke testers. We current have installation and data cabling repair customers all over Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, and Missouri. We specialize in new product, POS equipment upgrades and roll-outs, along with moves, adds and changes for many Fortune 500 companies as well as small mom and pop businesses.

A lot has changed in our 16 years of business and we promise to meet our customers demands, and needs, whatever they may be, to the utmost of our abilities.

As of May, 2007 we have obtained our Master Electrical Contractors License. Now we can do ALL your electrical cabling needs. High and Low Voltage, Data/Ethernet Cabling, CCTV Surveillance Systems, Fiber Optic Backbones, Alarm/Fire Systems and Cabling. New Construction, Remodels, Adds, Moves and Changes.
