SPECIFICATION
1. MAJOR
DIFFERENCES BETWEEN Connect Technologies AND STANDARDS
-
Standards provide performance
requirements for the components and
the link without specifying or
identifying a matched system. Connect Technologies
tests components and channels and
can explain how the components will
work together as a system.
-
Standards allow for impedance
smoothing; Connect Technologies does not.
-
Connect Technologies's
patch cord specs include both return
loss and NEXT.
-
Connect Technologies
won't accept splices or non-virgin
materials.
-
Connect Technologies
requires power sum testing for
connecting hardware (as well as for
cable and channel), while the
standards do not.
